Conference/ Simultaneous interpreting

The most efficient type of interpreting to present something in a different language with hardly any time lag.

You need technical equipment, however, e.g. one or more interpreting booths incl. interpretation systems and a  technician; an almost unlimited number of persons can listen to the interpretation; no 'noise' through e.g. whispering of the interpreters (see whispering), since the interpreters are in a sound-proof booth; the time lag is negligible.

A tour guide is a mobile alternative to the booth, however, it cannot be used in any situation.
